Van Gaal: We Have To Produce Results
Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal insists his side can still challenge for the league title this season, especially with the host of new signings the club made.
After three games into the English Premier League season the Red Devils are seven points behind league leaders Chelsea, but Van Gaal insists all is not lost as it is still early days.
“Yes, it's always possible (to still win the title) because we still have to play a lot of matches,” said van Gaal.
“We are not that far behind.”
United will take on Queens Park rangers on Sunday and Van Gaal believes his new signings shall make the difference as they attempt to catch the league leaders.
“You always want to buy the best players for the positions you need and we have done very well in the transfer market, in spite of not playing in the Champions League,” added Van Gaal.
“Players are coming to Manchester United and now we have to produce results and start our season.”
New signings Radamel Falcao, Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo are all in line for debuts at Old Trafford on Sunday.
