Liverpool; Rodgers: Balotelli Not Complicated
Liverpool boss, Brendan Rodgers, has insisted Mario Balotelli is not complicated to work with.
The Reds signed the 24-year-old from AC Milan last month, but Balotelli has only scored one goal in his first four games for the Reds.
Then on Sunday, the Italian striker was the victim of racial abuse on Twitter after he mocked Manchester United’s shock defeat to Leicester and Rodgers defended his player.
"Every player is different and individual, and I have really enjoyed working with him so far,” he told SkySports.
"He is a good guy, he wants to do well for the club and he has shown me that he cares enough about the club (for me) to devote that time to him.
"For me, he is not complicated - he is a football player who wants to do well in his life and his career, and if he continues to give everything and work tirelessly for the cause, then there will always be an opportunity here for him."
Liverpool have three of their first six games and host Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup tonight before taking on Everton in the Capital One Cup on Saturday.
