How hanks Wooed his faculty Girls (chapter 3)

After the lecture hall incident, Hanks and Adaeze never got really close for the rest of the week. At most, it was just eye contacts that lasted not more than a few seconds on the average. Later, in the afternoon on Tuesday of the following week, Hanks got his chance to say romantic words to this girl he's been crushing on.

        He found his way to the school's eatery where he intended to eat a plate of fufu and melon soup. On entering the eatery, he found Adaeze alone in one of the tables eating rice - the opportunity he always wanted. He quickly moved over to the table and sat down.
'' Hello beauty. We meet again'' he said. Adaeze was shocked but happy to see him; either way, she hid her emotions.
''Er... Yes, we meet'' she said
'' Seems I am not the only hungry lion in uniben''
'' You ve met a superhungry lioness today''
'' I see you have a healthy sense of humour. This makes us similar in a way''
''You are dark, I'm fair. Not too similar Mr Hungry''
''Hanks....My name is Hanks. Hope you will tell me yours dear beauty''
'' I'm Adaeze. 100 level zoology''
'lInteresting. Can I buy you a drink?''
''No need Hanks. May be some other time. Don't feel like drinking anything right now''

'' Do you know you are special Adaeze?''
'' How?''
'' Few girls reject gifts in this our chop chop generation.''
'' Hahahahaaah. Chop chop generation indeed''

''That makes you worth having Adaeze. You desrve the best and I intend giving you nothing less. Look at me very well and you will understand it's true.

At this point, Adaeze looked confused. She paused for sometime in her confusion. She didin't expect it to come so quickly. I mustn'nt give in; not today - she thought. Hanks looked on confused thinking he had done something wrong. Adaeze got up from her seat, left her half-filled plate as she prepared to leave.

''Wait Adaeze. Have I offended you?'' Hanks called out.
'' No. Not at all'' she said.

As she hurried away, she mistakenly left one of her GST textbooks on the table. Hanks picked the book up in frustration and opened the pages. The first thing he saw was her full name ''Adaeze Grace Nnakwe''. On flipping few more pages, he found a phone number. He then closed the books and started to eat.

Driver used rope to kill himself

Gerald Mellin left a note with his funeral wishes, the inquest heard A depressed businessman going through a divorce decapitated himself by tying a rope to a tree and driving away in his open-top car, an inquest has heard. Gerald Mellin, 54, of Neath, showed the rope to his 33-year-old wife two weeks earlier when he had asked her to quit their business and their farmhouse. He cancelled his life insurance and ran up debts because he wanted to leave her "with nothing," the hearing was told. Swansea coroner Phillip Rogers recorded a verdict of suicide. Mr Mellin's widow Mirrielle told the hearing she had won a court order the day before her husband's suicide for an extra £100 a week from him to help with the running of the house.
